Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ron Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall lands a jab to Nelson's midsection.
Hall circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hall swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Nelson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hall obliges.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nelson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hall tries to clinch but Nelson is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Simon Nelson has been cut.
Hall has Nelson pressed against the ropes, preventing Nelson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hall creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Nelson's defenses.
Hall lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Hall works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nelson is breathing heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nelson can do to turn this around?

Hall connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Nelson onto his butt! Nelson bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hall swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hall cracks Nelson with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Nelson get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Nelson looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Hall drops Nelson with a big knee! Will Nelson beat the count? Yep, he's up already and we're only at 3... let's see if he's just faking it or if he's actually OK.
Ron Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A frustrated look appears on Nelson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hall has a couple of punches blocked by Nelson.
Nelson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hall has him pressed against the ropes.
Hall misses with a body punch.

Nelson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hall circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hall counters with a one-two to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hall drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Nelson onto his butt! Nelson pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
Hall closes the distance and catches Nelson with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Nelson is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Nelson is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Nelson is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Hall takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ron Hall!
