Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Beans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sean Foster!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster tries for a takedown but Beans sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Beans drives through with a takedown into guard.
Beans wants to control from the top but Foster keeps moving.
Beans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beans is in close to Foster's body, working some short punches and elbows.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beans forces his way into half guard.
Beans content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Foster tries to roll over but Beans keeps him under control.

Beans trying to mount his opponent but Foster defends it.
Beans moves into full mount! Foster won't be happy about that!

Beans is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Foster has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Foster!
Beans pulls Foster in to control the position.

Beans has his foot on Foster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foster works his way back into a safe position though.

Beans wants to stand but Foster is controlling the position.

Foster decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Beans shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Foster but Foster pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Beans looking to score a takedown here. Foster is defending well but Beans drives through and ends up in Foster's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beans is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Foster is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Beans tries to free his leg and advance position but Foster is retaining full guard.

Beans gets to his feet. Foster looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Foster dives in and grabs Beans's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beans pushes down on Foster's head and hops out.
Beans seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Foster misses with a head kick.
Beans appears to be looking for a big counter.
Beans throws a push kick but Foster slaps the foot to one side.
Foster tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Beans shoots in for a takedown but Foster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Foster is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sean Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Foster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beans's waist but Beans gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Foster off to one side.
Bill Beans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Foster.

Foster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beans swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Foster throws a sloppy head kick and Beans moves out of range easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beans kicks Foster off and gets back to his feet.
Beans circles away from the clinch attempt.
Beans seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Beans shoots for a takedown but Foster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Despite the aggression on Foster's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Beans throws a right and a left that Foster avoids nicely.
We've been informed that Foster has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Beans shoots in and gets a takedown into Foster's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Beans dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Beans clinches.
Foster has had enough of the clinch but Beans keeps him there for the moment.

Beans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Foster moves out of range of the body kick from Beans.

Foster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beans sprawls well initially but Foster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Beans is trying is best to control the position here.

Beans has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Foster is on him like a limpet, forcing Beans back against the cage.
Beans prevents a takedown attempt there.

Beans pulls guard effortlessly.

Foster stands up and waves to Beans to follow him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Foster is looking to clinch.

Beans closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Foster's guard.
Foster is wriggling around but Beans manages to pass to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foster can do anything to dispel that myth.
Foster is breathing heavily.

Foster wants to improve his position but Beans is controlling well.
Foster is looking to control Beans's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Foster avoid being mounted?
Beans stalling.

Beans looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Beans cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Foster is covering up but some of the strikes from Beans are getting through and doing damage.
Beans controls the position.

Beans is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Foster knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Foster for a finish.
Beans is working the ground and pound. Can Foster escape?

Beans breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Foster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Beans is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Foster pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Foster tries to break free but Beans pushes him back against the cage.
Foster tries to pull guard but Beans won't allow it.
Foster has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Beans manages to break the clinch.
Foster fails with an attempt to clinch.

Beans forces Foster back against the cage and clinches.

Beans pulls guard successfully.
Beans is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Beans working for a triangle but Foster defends it easily.
Foster is working Beans over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Foster throws an elbow that misses. Beans uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Foster's guard. Nice move by Beans!

Foster looking to control.
Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Foster seems keen to control Beans's posture.
Foster takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Foster is looking for a triangle here but Beans uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Beans is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Foster looks calm but he's in trouble here. Beans gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Foster is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Beans lets go of the hold and Foster can pop his arm back in it's socket.
