The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pidaso throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Delaney counters with a series of strikes. Pidaso will be more careful next time no doubt.
Delaney on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pidaso thumps Delaney with a low kick.
Delaney closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pidaso fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Delaney checks it well.

Delaney went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Pidaso feints and as Delaney raises his hands in defense, Pidaso changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pidaso tries to close the distance and clinch but Delaney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Delaney dives in and grabs Pidaso 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pidaso pushes down on Delaney's head and hops out.
Delaney rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pidaso moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pidaso closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Delaney quickly recovers to half guard.
Delaney pushes Pidaso off and gets back to his feet.
Garret Delaney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pidaso fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Delaney has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A combination from Pidaso does no damage.
Delaney throws a big counter combination but Pidaso scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Delaney takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Pidaso circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Delaney drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pidaso follows Delaney to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

A less than humble Stu Pidaso misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
