Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asu Kuren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asu Kuren has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Baker! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baker is defended easily by Kuren. Kuren keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Baker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kuren to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kuren prevents Baker from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuren postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kuren loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Baker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kuren is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuren showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Baker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kuren looking to pass the guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kuren stands up over Baker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Baker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kuren is controlling him. Baker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kuren controls the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kuren drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Baker is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kuren has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kuren is working Baker over with some ground and pound from side control. Baker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kuren controlling from side mount. Baker is pushing Kuren's head away, looking to escape. Kuren manages to hold on to the position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Kuren prevents Baker from escaping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuren just content to control the position. Kuren cracks Baker with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kuren controls the position. Kuren misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kuren postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kuren landing a few strikes. Kuren working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baker pushes Kuren away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kuren gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asu Kuren dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Baker shoots for a double leg takedown but Kuren sprawls well. He's pushed Baker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Baker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kuren counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Baker! Baker wants to get back to his feet but Kuren is dominant here and he's now got Baker's back! Asu Kuren overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Baker is trying to stand back up. Kuren misses with a punch to the head. Baker is trapped and Kuren is scoring with shots to the head and body. Kuren lands an elbow to the side of the head. Kuren has good solid back control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuren scores with punches to the body. Baker is trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kuren has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Baker's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kuren has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kuren throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuren lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Kuren punishes Baker with strikes from the back mount. Baker is trying to stand back up. Baker is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Baker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Baker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Baker throws a right and a left that Kuren avoids nicely. Kuren drops down looking for a counter takedown but Baker sprawls and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuren drives through with a takedown into guard. Kuren works a leg free and moves into half guard. Baker is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kuren takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Kuren is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Baker reverses the position - he's now on top in Kuren's guard. Kuren pulls Baker in close to his closed guard and prevents Baker from doing any damage or advancing position. Kuren manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baker manages to get himself to full guard.

Asu Kuren dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kuren closes the distance and pushes Baker back into the cage. Baker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kuren gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Baker wants to take the fight to the mat but Kuren manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Baker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kuren pulls him back up using the underhooks. Asu Kuren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Baker. Kuren stops a takedown attempt from Baker.
Kuren gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Baker regains guard.
Baker is looking to stand back up but Kuren counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Baker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuren working over Baker with some ground and pound. Baker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kuren is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Baker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kuren is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Baker can do to turn this around? Kuren looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kuren trying to control the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. This is a sustained period of stalling by Kuren. Kuren with the ground and pound but Baker uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kuren is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kuren works over Baker with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuren postures up and lands a big shot to Baker's brow. Kuren not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kuren cracks Baker with a solid left hand. Kuren throwing strikes but missing. Kuren controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kuren clinches up against the cage. Baker tries for a takedown. No joy.
Baker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kuren is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Baker to the mat. Baker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Kuren is stalling in the full guard. Josh Baker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Asu Kuren is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Asu Kuren showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kuren, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Asu Kuren! Asu Kuren tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
