Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Van Den Berg's waist but Van Den Berg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boone off to one side.
Van Den Berg swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Danny Van Den Berg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Den Berg bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Boone's head backwards.
Boone blocks a head kick by Van Den Berg.
Van Den Berg misses the shot to the body.
Boone misses with a takedown attempt - Van Den Berg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Van Den Berg pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Van Den Berg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boone circles away quickly and effectively.
Van Den Berg bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Boone's head.

Van Den Berg scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Van Den Berg throws a right and a left that both miss.

Boone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Boone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Van Den Berg fails to land with a series of punches.
Boone throws a head kick that misses
and Van Den Berg counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Van Den Berg throws a series of punches but Boone avoids them all with ease.

Van Den Berg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Boone darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Van Den Berg is just riding it out for now. Boone eventually gives up the hold.
Boone is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boone wants to work for an arm triangle but Van Den Berg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Van Den Berg doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boone.
Boone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Den Berg can do anything to dispel that myth.

Boone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boone is working for a kimura but Van Den Berg is defending it quite comfortably.
Boone is keen to just control but Van Den Berg is a slippery customer.

Boone is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Van Den Berg is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
