Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ismael Mcfadden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Death Cloud! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Cloud is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mcfadden is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cloud to the mat. Cloud regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Cloud wants to stand but Mcfadden is controlling the position. Cloud uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Cloud tries for a takedown but Mcfadden sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mcfadden stuffs the takedown. Cloud tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cloud fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ismael Mcfadden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Death Cloud. Mcfadden takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Cloud is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Mcfadden has denied him. Cloud is trying to pull guard but Mcfadden turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Cloud breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cloud jumps guard but Mcfadden stands there with Cloud around his waist. Cloud gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mcfadden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cloud fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcfadden, pushing him back against the cage. Cloud gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcfadden.
Mcfadden has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cloud uses from the top position.

Cloud must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cloud throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cloud is defended easily by Mcfadden. Cloud shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mcfadden moves into the clinch successfully.
Mcfadden gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mcfadden sitting in guard here, content to control. Mcfadden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cloud wants to hit a switch here but Mcfadden passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cloud there! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cloud tries to lock up and control but Mcfadden gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcfadden prevents Cloud from getting the reversal. Mcfadden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cloud can do to turn this around? Mcfadden controlling the position easily from mount. Cloud is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cloud is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Cloud presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Cloud tries to pull guard but Mcfadden holds him up against the cage and eventually Cloud drops back down to his feet.

Mcfadden uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cloud's guard. Nice move by Mcfadden! Cloud wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mcfadden is now in half guard. Mcfadden not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mcfadden works his foot free and advances to mount. Mcfadden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Ismael Mcfadden showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mcfadden has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
