Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Fagaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osvaldo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Fagaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Osvaldo Gomez! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez feints and then cracks Fagaro's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fagaro down. Fagaro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gomez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fagaro tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gomez is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Gomez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Fagaro is working for a kimura but Gomez is defending it quite comfortably.
Gomez keeping control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gomez is trying to maintain the position but Fagaro is very close to passing his half guard. Fagaro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fagaro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gomez is looking to control Fagaro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gomez avoid being mounted? Gomez is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Fagaro wants to pass the guard but Gomez is defending well. Gomez is controlling Fagaro's trapped leg to prevent Fagaro from advancing to side control. Gomez is trying to maintain the position but Fagaro is very close to passing his half guard.

Fagaro drops back looking for a leg! Gomez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gomez manages to kick Fagaro off! Fagaro jumps back into Gomez's guard. Gomez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Gomez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fagaro is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fagaro has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gomez defend it? Fagaro steps over the head and cranks it - Gomez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fagaro!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Don Fagaro! Don Fagaro spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
