Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessy Dykstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cockney Rejects - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. Jessy Dykstra will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jessy Dykstra! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dykstra throws a right hand that Hawkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Hawkins also avoids with ease. Dykstra circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hawkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hawkins scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hawkins is looking to take a break and control but Dykstra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dykstra wants to get back to his feet but Hawkins drags him back down. Dykstra is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hawkins is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Dykstra is trying desperately to improve position. Dykstra is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hawkins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dykstra manages to avoid the submission attempt. Hawkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dykstra has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hawkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hawkins is breathing heavily. Dykstra is trying to control Hawkins's posture but Hawkins avoids it. Dykstra tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hawkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hawkins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dykstra is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dykstra is looking for a sweep. Dykstra is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Dykstra stops Hawkins from passing to mount. Hawkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dykstra has escaped the position, nice work there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dykstra tries to clinch but Hawkins moves away and Hawkins counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dykstra has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hawkins is trying to keep an underhook but Dykstra manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hawkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dykstra is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Dykstra slows the pace down in half guard. Hawkins wants to get back to full guard but Dykstra has mounted him!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins tries to reverse the position but Dykstra maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dykstra can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hawkins is looking to escape. A nice elbow there by Dykstra.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hawkins sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dykstra prevents Hawkins from improving his position. Hawkins trying to hold on to Dykstra's head to control him but Dykstra postures up.
Hawkins is not content to let Dykstra control the position. Hawkins tries to get to full guard but Dykstra has control of the leg. Dykstra trying to control the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hawkins dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hawkins. Dykstra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hawkins counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dykstra! Hawkins trying to control but Dykstra is having none of it. Dykstra is trying desperately to improve position. Hawkins has hold of Dykstra's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dykstra manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hawkins goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dykstra is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins keeping moving, preventing Dykstra from controlling successfully. Hawkins has a closed guard, preventing Dykstra from standing up. Dykstra trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hawkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dykstra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dykstra avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dykstra stays in close to Hawkins's body and controls the position. Dykstra has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hawkins to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Dykstra is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hawkins pulls down on the head and he's put Dykstra to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joe Hawkins!
