Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gareth Fawkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai has chosen Freestyle - Don't Stop The Rock as his entrance music. Hideo Sakurai is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fawkes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fawkes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Sakurai throws a hook to the side of Fawkes's head but Fawkes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hideo Sakurai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sakurai might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fawkes dances in with a quick combination. Sakurai is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Fawkes snaps Sakurai's head back. Sakurai stumbles backwards against the cage. Fawkes steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Sakurai's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Sakurai just didn't come prepared.
