Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Pain! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pain as he avoids it easily. Pain swinging wilding here.
Pain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Brown pushes Pain up against the cage in a clinch. Brown is pressed up against the cage. Pain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brown down to the mat. Brown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pain gets a clinch. Brown managing to block the knees to the body from Pain.
Pain tries to pull guard but Brown holds him up against the cage and eventually Pain drops back down to his feet.
Pain is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brown is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pain to the mat. Pain regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Pain is pulling down on Brown's head to control his posture. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brown is one step ahead there. Brown postures up.
Brown stands and throws Pain's legs to the side, diving into side control. Brown trying to control the action but Pain is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pain can do anything to dispel that myth. Pain tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Pain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pain tries to bench press Brown off him but Brown keeps the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Brown fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown lands with a kick to the temple. Pain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Jim Pain has been cut. Brown checks a low kick from Pain. Brown looks to clinch and Pain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brown! Pain with shots to the head and body - Brown looks very uncomfortable down there. Brown is trying to stand. Brown is looking to improve his position but Pain isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Brown wants to try and get back to his feet. Brown is working to get back to half guard.
Brown is working hard here to advance position. Pain is looking to stand but Pain has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brown really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pain looking to control but Brown is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pain working away from the top, dropping strikes. Pain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Pain has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Brown's face.
Pain goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brown is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Brown will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jim Pain's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown with a poor takedown so Pain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brown is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Brown manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Pain is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brown is controlling Pain's posture. Pain landing with the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Brown keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain throwing strikes from guard but Brown blocks nicely. Brown throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pain is working Brown over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pain passes Brown's left leg - he's now in half guard. Pain wants to stand up but Brown has a hold of him and won't allow it. Pain looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Brown is looking to escape. Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pain's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pain's back! Pain tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is working the ground and pound. Can Pain escape? Brown trying to control momentarily.
Brown is not going to allow Pain to sit and survive in this position. Pain holding both Brown 's hands and preventing any damage. Brown is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Pain won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Brown off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Daniel Brown!
