Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perrone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head kick from Mcconnell lands but Perrone takes it in his stride.
Perrone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcconnell circles away quickly and effectively.
Mcconnell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Mcconnell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcconnell gets tackled into the cage by Perrone. Perrone maintains the clinch.
Mcconnell really is a fat lump.
Mcconnell takes a shot to the head.
Mcconnell lands a nice uppercut.
Mcconnell scores with a nice hook to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perrone.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Mcconnell.
Mcconnell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcconnell lands with a left to the head.
Mcconnell lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mcconnell.
Mcconnell blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mcconnell lands a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcconnell gets control of Perrone's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcconnell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Perrone postures up in Mcconnell's guard and throws a big left but Mcconnell blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perrone throws a big right hand that misses.
Mcconnell trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Mcconnell is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Perrone frees his head nicely. Oh but Mcconnell has switched to an armbar! Perrone is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
