Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Slater drops down looking for a counter takedown but Griffin sprawls and moves away.
A chopping leg kick lands by Griffin.
Slater really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Griffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Slater tries to counter by clinching up but Griffin breaks away and moves out of range.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown but Slater shows good takedown defense.
A head kick misses from Griffin.
Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Griffin dives in and scores a takedown into Slater's guard.

Slater manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Griffin throws a series of punches but Slater avoids them all with ease.
Slater is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Griffin.

Slater closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Griffin to the mat! Griffin manages to get full guard.

Griffin pushes Slater off and scrambles back to his feet.

Griffin scores with a hook to the body. Slater takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Griffin wants to clinch.
A clash of legs there as Slater blocks the low kick.
Slater is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Griffin.

It looks like Roscoe Slater has been cut.

Slater tries to keep at a distance but Griffin has taken the fight into the clinch.

Griffin goes for a takedown attempt but Slater pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Griffin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Slater changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Sloppy strikes from Griffin. Those never looked like landing.

Griffin is looking to clinch but Slater is avoiding it.
Griffin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Slater feinted with a counter takedown.
Griffin wants to clinch.

Oooooh!!! Griffin has knocked Slater down with a huge combo! Griffin steps away and waves a wobbly Slater back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Griffin instigates a clinch.
Oh Slater is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Griffin has Slater pressed against the cage.
Griffin blocks a body shot from Slater.
Griffin jumps guard but Slater turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Griffin is looking for a takedown.

Griffin breaks from the clinch.
Slater shoots in but no luck this time.
Matt Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slater misses with a takedown attempt
and Griffin counters with a left and a right... And another left! Slater is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
