Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loyd Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Griffin is nestled in close to Morris, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Griffin working over Morris with some ground and pound. Morris looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
It looks like Loyd Morris has been cut.
Morris is trying to get back to full guard.
Morris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though.
Morris is refusing to be controlled, as Griffin sits in half guard.

Morris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morris regains full guard. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morris looking for a sweep. Not yet Morris, not yet.
Griffin trying to control but Morris is working from the bottom.

Loyd Morris's cut is getting worse.
Morris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris can't keep his opponent in guard - Griffin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Griffin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Morris with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Griffin lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Morris quite badly. Morris pulls Griffin in close trying to recover. Griffin postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Morris on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Morris doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Griffin!
