The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yaga clinches up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Jefferson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Yaga is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jefferson is defending well.

Jefferson pulls guard effortlessly.
Yaga working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yaga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jefferson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Yaga postures up.
Yaga has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Yaga is working Jefferson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

It looks like Kirby Jefferson has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yaga working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jefferson's head.
Yaga is in close to Jefferson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Kirby Jefferson's cut is getting worse.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yaga postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Yaga postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Jefferson covers up, he's hurt! Yaga keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Yaga and the ref steps in to end the fight! Yaga can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
