Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Apple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ian Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Apple! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Apple closes the distance and clinches up with Peterson, looking for a takedown. Apple pushes Peterson against the cage but Peterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Apple has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Peterson forces Apple back against the cage and clinches. Peterson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Apple looking for a takedown. Ian Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Apple. Peterson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Apple's elbow. Still in the clinch, Peterson scores with a nice short uppercut. Apple jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peterson walks away with a smile on his face. Apple gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Peterson jabs at Apple's body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Apple walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Apple takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Brian Apple has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson cracks Apple with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Apple tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Peterson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Apple is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ian Peterson!
