Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Kuznetcov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Springs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Kuznetcov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Springs!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Springs throws a low kick but Kuznetcov avoids it.
Springs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kuznetcov back to the ropes. Springs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Springs scores with a jab to the jaw.
Springs doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Springs lands a really nice looking cross but Kuznetcov seems unphased.
Kuznetcov cracks Springs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Springs swings for the body but Kuznetcov moves out of range.
Kuznetcov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kuznetcov looks to throw the jab but Springs is out of range.
Springs pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kuznetcov is out of range and Springs settles back down.
Kuznetcov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Springs doesn't seem bothered though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Springs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kuznetcov fails with a takedown attempt.
Springs slips a jab from Kuznetcov.

Kuznetcov moves into the clinch.
Kuznetcov prevents a body shot from Springs.
Springs pushes off an throws an elbow but Kuznetcov leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Springs misses with a punch on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Springs swings wildly with an uppercut but Kuznetcov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kuznetcov blocks an uppercut.

Kuznetcov has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Springs is trying to keep an underhook but Kuznetcov manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Springs is staying active underneath Kuznetcov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Springs felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Springs is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kuznetcov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kuznetcov passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kuznetcov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Springs wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kuznetcov.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuznetcov prevents Springs from getting the reversal.
Kuznetcov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kuznetcov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kuznetcov working the ground and pound effectively.


It looks like Randy Springs has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kuznetcov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Springs looks a forlorn figure.
Kuznetcov thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kuznetcov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Springs scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kuznetcov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kuznetcov stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrey Kuznetcov!
