Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michail Podolski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tomoki Hasegawa - Lemon Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michail Podolski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeshi Hashimoto! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Podolski looks to throw the jab but Hashimoto is out of range. Podolski lands a jab to Hashimoto's midsection. Podolski chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nice body punch from Podolski. A telegraphed right hand from Podolski misses the target. And Hashimoto tries to counter it with a takedown but Podolski pushes his down on his head and steps out. Hashimoto slips a straight right by Podolski. Hashimoto is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. A low kick from Podolski is predictable there and Hashimoto counters with a single leg into guard. Podolski didn't expect that. Hashimoto controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Podolski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hashimoto. Hashimoto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Podolski, up you get! Podolski misses with a leg kick and Hashimoto counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Podolski! Hashimoto taking a breather here. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hashimoto in side control, throwing shots but Podolski defends. Hashimoto content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Hashimoto might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Podolski is not content to let Hashimoto control the position. Hashimoto throws an elbow but Podolski slips to the side and avoids it well. Hashimoto wants to control for a moment but Podolski uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Podolski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Podolski wants to sweep here but Hashimoto controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Podolski controls Hashimoto momentarily but Hashimoto frees himself. Hashimoto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Podolski throws an overhand right that lands on Hashimoto's shoulder, as Hashimoto tries to avoid the shot. Podolski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hashimoto. Podolski misses with a wild body shot. Hashimoto is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Podolski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Podolski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Podolski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hashimoto changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hashimoto staying out of range there. Hashimoto with the counter takedown but Podolski avoids it easily. Podolski misses with a left hand and Hashimoto counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Podolski! A lull in the action here as Hashimoto stalls from top position. Podolski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hashimoto's best efforts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michail Podolski will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hashimoto controlling from mount. Podolski slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Podolski tries to roll over but Hashimoto keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hashimoto throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Podolski to regain full guard. Hashimoto stands up from Podolski's guard - Hashimoto perhaps looking for a knockout. Podolski swings for the body but Hashimoto moves out of range.
Podolski throws a leg kick and Hashimoto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hashimoto. Hashimoto slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto stands up and waves to Podolski to follow him. Podolski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hashimoto's head. Hashimoto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Podolski throws a body shot but no joy. Podolski misses with an uppercut
and Hashimoto counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Podolski! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hashimoto wants to control but Podolski is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto scoring with punches from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Podolski is being controlled here. Hashimoto's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Podolski can't do much from the bottom here.

Hashimoto controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hashimoto is looking to work some ground and pound but Podolski has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Takeshi Hashimoto will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
