The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hampton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wagner.
Hampton doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Hampton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wagner was well out of range. Poor timing from Hampton.
Micke Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It seemed like Hampton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hampton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wagner connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hampton scrambles back to his feet.

Wagner throws a big shot that misses.
Wagner changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Wagner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hampton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Wagner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hampton.

Hampton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Wagner drops Hampton with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Hampton! Wagner dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
