The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gallagher scores with a head kick. Newton tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Newton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gallagher does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Having scored a knockdown, Liam Gallagher should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

and Newton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Newton wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Gallagher slips under a jab.
Gallagher throws a head kick but Newton moves out of range.
Gallagher stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gallagher slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Newton drops his guard momentarily, allowing Gallagher to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Newton! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Gallagher takes it!
