Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Welington Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Routh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Routh will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Welington Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Routh!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva rushes Routh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Routh has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Routh keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Routh breaks from the clinch.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Routh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Routh misses with a head kick.
Silva takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Welington Silva has been cut.
Silva tries to clinch up.
Routh throws a head kick that misses.
Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Routh, pushing him back against the cage.
Routh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Routh throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Silva.
Routh circles away from the clinch attempt
and as Silva loses concentration momentarily, Routh counters with a picture perfect head kick! Silva goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Steve Routh!
