Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Bailey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lothar Svantovit! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svantovit rushes Bailey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bailey misses with a hook from the clinch. Svantovit told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Svantovit looks to throw an elbow but misses. Bailey swings wildly with an uppercut but Svantovit uses good head movement to avoid it. Bailey working aggressively here.
Svantovit is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bailey is defending well for now. Bailey avoids the elbow strike from Svantovit, against the cage.
