Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Breznhev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Segey Taranin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breznhev's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Death Grips - No Love. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleks Breznhev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Segey Taranin! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Breznhev enables Taranin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Breznhev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Taranin trying to control the position from guard on top but Breznhev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Breznhev is trying to control the position but Taranin postures up. Taranin advances position into side control! Breznhev gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Breznhev wants to control but Taranin is keeping busy.
Nice strikes from Taranin there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Breznhev is trying to get back to full guard. Breznhev is trying to maintain the position but Taranin is very close to passing his half guard. Taranin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breznhev is looking to improve his position.
Breznhev is looking to control Taranin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Breznhev avoid being mounted? Taranin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Breznhev regains full guard. Nicely done. Taranin trying to control the position from guard on top but Breznhev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Breznhev has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Breznhev tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Taranin is fighting to break Breznhev's control of his arms but Breznhev is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Breznhev has momentary wrist control but Taranin slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Taranin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Breznhev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Breznhev trying to keep a closed guard but Taranin is proving a slippery customer.

Taranin winds up and cracks Breznhev with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Breznhev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Taranin scores with a couple of nice shots. Breznhev wants to improve his position but Taranin is controlling well.

Breznhev is concentrating on defense, preventing Taranin from advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taranin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Taranin looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Breznhev makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Breznhev. Taranin scoring with punches to the head and body. Breznhev looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Breznhev is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Breznhev looking for a guillotine here but Taranin defends easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Taranin's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Taranin scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taranin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Breznhev is looking for a triangle but Taranin pushes his legs off easily.
Taranin connects with a couple of short punches. Breznhev has momentary wrist control but Taranin slips an elbow through the middle. Taranin won't allow Breznhev to sweep him here. Taranin working some strikes from top position. Taranin postures up in Breznhev's guard and throws a big left but Breznhev blocks it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Breznhev holds on and takes a little breather. Taranin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Taranin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Taranin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Breznhev looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Segey Taranin dominated that round. That's time! Breznhev's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Taranin. Breznhev half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Taranin works the jab nicely. Taranin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Breznhev in his tracks. Breznhev throws a jab but it's blocked by Taranin. Taranin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Taranin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Breznhev on his heels. He'll look to pass Breznhev's guard now, I'm sure. Breznhev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Breznhev looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Taranin misses with the ground and pound. Breznhev takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Taranin lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Taranin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Breznhev, who protects the arm well. Breznhev is trying to control Taranin's posture but Taranin avoids it. Taranin is working to tighten his grip on Breznhev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Breznhev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Taranin is really squeezing tight and eventually Breznhev passes out! Taranin breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Segey Taranin! A less than humble Segey Taranin misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
