Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Manny Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a leg kick
and White counters with a good low kick that Stone was not able to check.
Stone misses with a low kick.
White fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stone on the side of the head.
Stone tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and White counters with an inside leg kick.
Stone takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A bone on bone clash there as Stone blocks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone misses with a takedown
enabling White to counter with a crisp jab.
White uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stone has time to react.
A shot to the body from Stone misses
and White counters with a lovely straight right hand!

White dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stone. That did some damage!
White circles away from the clinch attempt
and White counters with a two punch combo.
White is looking to slow Stone down with leg kicks.
Nice body punch from Stone.
Freddy White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White throws a leg kick but Stone checks it.
White ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

White smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Stone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but White paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A nice side step and White releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Stone throws a looping overhand right but White ducks down to avoid it.
Stone throws a lazy head kick
and White counters with a nice low kick that buckles Stone's knee momentarily.
Stone takes a jab right on the kisser.
White misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stone appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Stone lets loose with a powerful body kick. White will feel that in the morning.
White misses with a low kick.
White gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stone.

Stone defending well as White loads up on a big left hand.
White pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stone is out of range and White settles back down.
Stone misses with a double jab.
A punch combination from Stone misses.
White scores with a sloppy right hand. Stone should have avoided that one.

and Stone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in White's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
White keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
Stone stops White from standing up.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone with a flurry of punches that miss.
Stone trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
Stone lands a couple of digs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freddy White dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Stone drives through with a takedown into White's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Stone is standing up over White. White looks to escape but Stone dives into side control.

Stone trying to control the action but White is working from the bottom.
White parries the strikes from Stone easily there. Stone is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable White to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone wants to lay and pray for a moment but White keeps working.
Stone throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and White works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stone in particular looking to stall.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed White's head.
Stone is keen to just control but White is a slippery customer.
White scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Stone manages to mount him!
White felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Stone working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Stone looking to ground and pound but White is blocking nicely.
White wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Stone.

White is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Stone wants to control the pace but White is squirming around nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Stone there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
White's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Stone moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, White has worked his arm free - good work by White!
White regains half guard, as Stone was trying to land strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

White wants to get back to his feet.

Stone passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for White!
White is in a horrible position here. Stone smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
White is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Stone moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, White has worked his arm free - good work by White!

White defending against the ground and pound.
White is being controlled here.
Stone looks up at the clock and then as White takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Stone smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Stone throwing strikes but White manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Stone can't do much from the bottom here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

White decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


White dips to his left and cracks Stone with an uppercut!
White scores with a jab to the head.
Stone listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Good leg kick by White there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A solid leg kick lands there for White.
Stone takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Stone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A punch lands to the side of Stone 's head but he takes it in his stride.

White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stone attempts a counter takedown but White avoids it well and moves away.
White connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Stone connects with a leg kick. White looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Stone takes one on the button.
The fighters circling - White throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
White looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Stone moves out of range of the leg kick from White.
Stone is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from White.

Stone clinches up with White and pushes him back against the cage.
White blocks an uppercut.
Stone misses with a punch on the inside.
Stone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Stone tries a body shot but White blocks it.

Stone gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, White regains guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

White pushes Stone off and scrambles back to his feet.
Stone throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Stone goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

White wants to land a leg kick but Stone is out of range.
Stone changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
White dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stone. That did some damage!
White connects with a solid leg kick.
White throws a hook but Stone avoids it easily.
An inside leg kick from Stone misses.
White was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Stone throws a half hearted mid kick.
White misses with a low kick.
Freddy White seems to be getting the better of the standup.
White closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stone on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by White. White obviously looking to wear him down.
Stone misses with a body kick.
White misses with a low kick.

White fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stone is out of range.
White has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
White misses with a head kick.
White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
White uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White throws a shot from downtown. Stone moves away and avoids it.
Stone cracks White with an open hand slap.
White misses with a hook. Stone ducked under it nicely.
Stone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. White defends it nicely.

Freddy White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
