Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Gould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danger Russ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bradley Gould has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bradley Gould seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gould tries for a takedown but Russ circles away easily
and Russ counters by clinching up.
Russ can't break the clinch.
Gould fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Gould breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gould shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Russ manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Gould shoots in looking for a takedown. Russ tries to sprawl out of it but Gould keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Russ manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Russ throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gould was covering up waiting for the punch and Russ finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gould is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Russ slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that Russ has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Russ tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gould avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Russ fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gould, pushing him back against the cage.
Russ jumps into guard, dragging Gould to the mat.
Russ working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gould doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gould manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gould shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Russ kicks Gould off and gets to his feet.
Gould closes the distance and clinches up with Russ, looking for a takedown. Gould pushes Russ against the cage but Russ circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gould darts in looking for a takedown but Russ gets double underhooks and turns Gould into the cage.
Russ shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gould's guard.

Russ postures up in Gould's guard and throws a big left but Gould blocks it.
Gould is looking to stand up but Russ isn't so interested in that idea.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Russ looking to score a takedown here. Gould is defending well but Russ drives through and ends up in Gould's guard.

Gould keeping moving, preventing Russ from controlling successfully.

Gould will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Russ looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gould is refusing to be controlled, as Russ sits in half guard.
Gould is trying to control but can't.
Russ throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gould has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Russ is working away from the top position though.
Russ thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gould trying to hold on to Russ's head to control him but Russ postures up.

Russ is looking for a kimura but Gould is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Russ to get the leverage.
Russ is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gould is just riding it out for now. Russ eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gould shoots in looking for a takedown but Russ manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gould's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Danger Russ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Russ drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gould defends it well.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Russ. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gould tries to keep at a distance but Russ has taken the fight into the clinch.
Russ manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Russ is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Russ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gould's guard.
Gould wants to stand up but Russ is controlling him.
Russ stands up from Gould's guard - Russ perhaps looking for a knockout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Danger Russ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Russ stuffs the takedown attempt from Gould. Gould gets slowly back to his feet.
Russ tries to counter by closing the distance.
Russ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gould avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Russ.

Russ controlling the position well here. Gould rolled but Russ kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Gould manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Russ is now in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Russ is taking a breather. Gould says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gould has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Russ is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gould slips a jab and a cross from Russ.

and Gould counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Russ!

Russ has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bradley Gould has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Danger Russ is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Danger Russ comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Russ has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
