Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Gallegos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vands Juei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vands Juei will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juei has closed the distance and engaged Gallegos in a clinch.
Gallegos tries to pull guard but Juei forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Juei stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Juei avoids the elbow strike from Gallegos, against the cage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Juei is defended easily by Gallegos.
As Juei looks to move away, Gallegos throws a big counter combo but Juei just gets out of the way.
Juei closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gallegos circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

And Juei responds with a good body kick, but Gallegos manages to step out the way in time.

Juei thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gallegos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Juei is just content to waste time from the top position. Gallegos takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Juei looking to sit in guard and control but Gallegos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gallegos makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Juei is looking to stand up but Gallegos isn't so interested in that idea.
Gallegos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gallegos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gallegos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Juei is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gallegos working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Juei's head.
Juei is looking to stand back up but Gallegos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Juei.
Gallegos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Juei is just riding it out for now. Gallegos eventually gives up the hold.

Juei wants to get back to full guard.
Juei tries to kick Gallegos off but Gallegos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gallegos decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Gallegos tries a head kick but it misses.
Juei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gallegos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Juei avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gallegos gets tackled into the cage by Juei. Juei maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Garrett Gallegos will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Juei closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gallegos to the mat! Gallegos manages to get full guard.
Juei is looking to stand up but Gallegos won't let him.
Gallegos throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Juei must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gallegos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Juei's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gallegos is nestled in close to Juei, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gallegos connects with a nice short shot to Juei's temple.
Gallegos lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gallegos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Juei defends it well.

Gallegos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Juei is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
