Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dim Wit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ahmed Cantu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dim Wit!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wit drives through with a takedown into Cantu's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Wit must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cantu throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cantu pulls Wit in close to prevent any damage.
Wit wants to control from the top but Cantu keeps moving.
Wit with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cantu has a closed guard, preventing Wit from standing up.
Cantu is trying to keep Wit in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wit won't allow Cantu to sweep him here.

Wit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cantu is looking for a triangle here but Wit uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Cantu holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Wit stands up and beckons Cantu to his feet.
Cantu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wit closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Cantu's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Cantu manages to pull guard.
Cantu looking for a sweep. Not yet Cantu, not yet.

Cantu throws his legs up looking for a submission but Wit uses it to pass to side control.
Cantu really is a fat lump.
The strikes coming from Wit are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Wit working away.

Wit tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Wit decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cantu to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wit jumps into guard, dragging Cantu to the mat.
Wit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wit keeps trying to improve his position.
Cantu lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Cantu gets to his feet - Wit follows without any prompting.

Wit closes the distance and clinches.
Cantu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wit has him pressed against the cage.

Wit breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wit keeps the fight on the outside.
Wit is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Cantu wants to clinch.
Wit fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wit feints and as Cantu raises his hands in defense, Wit changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cantu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cantu is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Wit moves into full guard.
Cantu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wit's head.

Wit escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cantu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cantu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cantu gets to his feet - Wit follows without any prompting.
Wit looks winded!

Wit feints and as Cantu raises his hands in defense, Wit changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cantu tries to strike from the bottom.
Wit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Wit postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dim Wit dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wit tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cantu tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wit manages to circle out of the way.
Wit misses with a series of wild punches.

Wit shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cantu tries to get to full guard but Wit has control of the leg.
Wit seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wit wants to take a breather but Cantu is having none of it.
Cantu controlling the position well.

Wit trying to control from Cantu's half guard. Cantu has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Wit has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dim Wit has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wit is stalling here. Cantu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wit seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cantu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Wit is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cantu connects with a decent elbow.
Wit is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cantu has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Wit gets tackled into the cage by Cantu. Cantu maintains the clinch.

Cantu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cantu pulls Wit in close to prevent any damage.
Cantu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cantu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wit wants to control from the top but Cantu keeps moving.
Cantu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wit looking to sit in guard and control but Cantu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wit is breathing heavily.
Wit moves into full guard.

Cantu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

It looked like Cantu was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Cantu tries to sprawl but Wit drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Cantu tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wit looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cantu tries to counter by clinching up but Wit breaks away and moves out of range.

Wit has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cantu goes for a takedown attempt but Wit pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Wit tries to close the distance and clinch but Cantu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cantu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cantu throws a head kick that misses.

Cantu wants to get back to full guard.
Cantu is pressing down on Wit's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Wit throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cantu wants to control the position but Wit says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Cantu wants to control but Wit is keeping busy.
Wit wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cantu keeps working.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wit trying to advance position but Cantu counters by regaining guard.
Wit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cantu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wit trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cantu's guard.
Wit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cantu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Cantu decides to stand and escape the position.

Wit fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cantu to the ground. Wit is now in Cantu's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cantu keeping moving, preventing Wit from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cantu is on top in guard.

Cantu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cantu working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Wit working a defensive guard here.
Cantu tries to stand but Wit is controlling from the bottom.
Cantu chips away with some ground and pound.
Cantu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Wit is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cantu is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Wit in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cantu cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Wit tries to hold on but Cantu postures up.

Cantu is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wit can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cantu trying to control but he's not successful this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ahmed Cantu showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cantu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
