Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Simpleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rufus Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frankie Simpleton! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Simpleton lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Rufus Lee has been cut. Simpleton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simpleton off to one side. Simpleton throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Simpleton shoots in but no luck this time. Simpleton moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off. Rufus Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Simpleton fails with the takedown. Rufus Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Simpleton. Simpleton throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Lee misses. Lee connects with the punch. Lee lands a jab. Simpleton ducks under a wild hook from Lee. Simpleton moves out of range as Lee strikes. Lee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Simpleton throws a combination that misses and Lee counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Frankie Simpleton has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Simpleton at a distance.
Simpleton looks gassed! Lee throws a left and a right that both miss
and Simpleton counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Simpleton. Lee manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Simpleton wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away. Lee looking to control but Simpleton is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lee sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lee trying to control but he's not successful this time. Simpleton really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Simpleton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee controlling from the full mount. Lee tries to control but Simpleton wriggling away. Simpleton is wriggling around trying to escape.
Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Simpleton really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lee avoids the attempt from Simpleton to control. Simpleton slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lee stands up from half guard. Simpleton throws a combination that misses and Lee counters with a one-two to the body. Lee throws a nice looking combination but Simpleton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Simpleton looks to clinch and Lee counters with a left and a right that stings Simpleton. Simpleton drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lee pushes Simpleton off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Simpleton. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rufus Lee dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lee with a jab. Oooh a lovely combination from Lee sends Simpleton down but not out. Lee dives into side control looking to finish.
Simpleton is rocked! Simpleton tries to improve position but can't. Simpleton is still in real trouble! Can Lee finish him? Simpleton is trying to control Lee's posture but Lee avoids it. Simpleton seems to have recovered his senses. Simpleton tries to bench press Lee off him but Lee keeps the position. Lee is looking to take a break and control but Simpleton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lee stands up and we're back to a striking position. Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Simpleton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Simpleton digs a good body shot into Lee's ribs. Simpleton looks to clinch and Lee counters with a two punch combo. Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Simpleton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lee counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Simpleton! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simpleton is breathing heavily. Lee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Simpleton wants to get back to full guard. Simpleton trying to control but Lee postures up.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Simpleton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Simpleton is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lee jumps into side control! Simpleton is trying to improve his position. Lee stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lee moves out of range of the strikes. Simpleton scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Simpleton. Simpleton shoots in but no luck this time. Rufus Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Simpleton. Simpleton misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lee throws a series of punches but Simpleton moves out of range. Simpleton shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Simpleton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lee lands a nice shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simpleton tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lee scores with a one two! Simpleton had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Lee lands a head shot. Simpleton throws a leg kick but Lee moved away. Simpleton defending well as Lee loads up on a big left hand. Rufus Lee is winning the standup battle so far. Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee jabs Simpleton right on the nose. Simpleton blinks but takes it well. Rufus Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Simpleton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lee.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Lee! Simpleton is backing up but he can't get away as Lee lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Simpleton and ends the fight. Great knockout.
