Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bilbo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCoy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Big Iron. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bilbo Baggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Willie McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baggins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McCoy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Baggins misses with a two punch combination.
McCoy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McCoy tries to bum rush Baggins with a series of wild strikes but Baggins uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baggins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
McCoy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Bilbo Baggins has been cut.
Baggins wants to clinch up but McCoy keeps it at a distance.
McCoy scores with a sloppy right hand. Baggins should have avoided that one.
Baggins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McCoy with a nice cross.
Baggins swinging wildly here.
McCoy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
McCoy connects with the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McCoy swats away the attempt to clinch by Baggins.
McCoy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Baggins's head.

McCoy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

McCoy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McCoy lands in his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells McCoy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Baggins is looking to stand up but McCoy isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCoy's corner is telling him to maintain position.

McCoy stands up from Baggins's guard - McCoy perhaps looking for a knockout.
Baggins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McCoy lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

McCoy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baggins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Baggins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baggins looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Baggins throws a series of punches but McCoy avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baggins takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bilbo Baggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy lands with a good body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Baggins. Those never looked like landing.
McCoy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Baggins throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
McCoy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baggins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

McCoy lands a jab.
Baggins takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Baggins takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baggins misses with a few strikes there.

McCoy lands the left hand.
Baggins takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


Baggins is rocked!
McCoy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Oh Baggins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Baggins. Those never looked like landing.
Baggins is looking to clinch.
Baggins seems to have got his legs back now.
McCoy throws a series of punches but Baggins avoids them all with ease.
Baggins is looking to clinch.
Baggins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCoy avoids a punch combination nicely.

McCoy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baggins on his heels. He'll look to pass Baggins's guard now, I'm sure.
McCoy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
McCoy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCoy throws a strike but Baggins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McCoy holds on and takes a little breather.
McCoy looking for a sweep. Not yet McCoy, not yet.
Baggins is fighting to break McCoy's control of his arms but McCoy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McCoy is continuing to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McCoy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baggins circles away quickly and effectively.

McCoy throws a right and a left that both miss.

Baggins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A little jabbing left from McCoy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Baggins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

It looks like Willie McCoy has been cut.
Baggins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

McCoy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baggins circles away quickly and effectively.

Baggins tries to bum rush McCoy with a series of wild strikes but McCoy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baggins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McCoy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Baggins quickly recovers to half guard.
McCoy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McCoy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McCoy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baggins's head.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

McCoy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
McCoy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

McCoy cracks Baggins with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Baggins drops his hands momentarily and McCoy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

McCoy bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Baggins! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Baggins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

McCoy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

McCoy is looking to work some ground and pound but Baggins has wrist control.
McCoy distracts Baggins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bilbo Baggins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Baggins wants to stand and escape but McCoy is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Willie McCoy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

McCoy drives through with a takedown into guard.

Willie McCoy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McCoy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
