Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jak Wesley!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts shoots in looking for a takedown. Wesley tries to sprawl out of it but Watts keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wesley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wesley darts in and clinches Watts up against the cage.
Watts fails to pull the fight into his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wesley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Watts's guard.

Wesley throwing shots but Watts is blocking nicely.

Wesley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Watts has managed to free his arm - good work.
Watts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wesley is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wesley is stalling here. Watts is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wesley seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Watts has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Watts stands and steps away. Wesley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wesley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Watts could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wesley shoots in for a takedown but Watts shows good takedown defense.

Wesley forces Watts back against the cage and clinches.

Watts gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wesley tries to roll over but Watts keeps him under control.

Wesley has hold of Watts's hands but Watts slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Wesley preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Wesley looks like he's trying to stand up.
Watts sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wesley defending well though.
Watts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watts seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That was a close round but I would say that Mariano Watts will probably get the nod.

Wesley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wesley lands with an uppercut that bounces Watts off the cage and back into range.


It looks like Mariano Watts has been cut.
Wesley misses with the combination.
Watts tries to counter by clinching up but Wesley breaks away and moves out of range.
Wesley stuns Watts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Wesley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Watts shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Wesley counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Wesley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Watts gets tackled into the cage by Wesley. Wesley maintains the clinch.
Watts changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wesley fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wesley moves into the clinch.
Wesley gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Watts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mariano Watts. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Watts keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wesley's efforts to push away.
Watts jumps guard but Wesley stands there with Watts around his waist. Watts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Watts wants a takedown but no success here.

Wesley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wesley fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Wesley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Watts.
Wesley fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wesley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wesley misses with a head kick.
Wesley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wesley misses with a two punch combination.
Wesley smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Wesley jabs at Watts's body.

Wesley cracks Watts with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Watts looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wesley finish him?


Watts is rocked!
Wesley ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Watts's jaw. Watts's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Wesley does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jak Wesley!
