Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budda Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Drowning - A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Budda Baker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stevie Hobbs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Budda Baker! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hobbs pinned against the cage. Hobbs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hobbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Baker, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hobbs lands with a straight right. Baker didn't see that one coming. Hobbs misses with a takedown and Hobbs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Baker darts in looking for a takedown but Hobbs gets double underhooks and turns Baker into the cage. Stevie Hobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Budda Baker. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hobbs tries to clinch up but Baker circles away and keeps his distance. Hobbs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hobbs tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Baker defends well and Hobbs ends up having to push Baker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hobbs doesn't manage to clinch there - Baker circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hobbs wants to clinch. Baker stuffs the takedown attempt from Hobbs. Hobbs gets slowly back to his feet. Hobbs tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hobbs on the side of the head. Hobbs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Baker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baker lands in his opponent's guard. Hobbs not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker controlling from the top position. It looks like Baker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Baker looking to sit in guard and control but Hobbs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Baker wants to stand up but Hobbs is controlling him. Baker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hobbs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbs lands a couple of elbows. Hobbs postures up in Baker's guard and throws a big left but Baker blocks it. Hobbs scoring with some ground and pound. Hobbs landing some decent shots from guard. Hobbs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Baker looks winded! Hobbs stands up over Baker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hobbs working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Baker looking for a sweep. Not yet Baker, not yet. Hobbs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hobbs stands up from Baker's guard - Hobbs perhaps looking for a knockout. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Baker, right into the meat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from Baker. Hobbs lands a two punch combo.

Hobbs instigates a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hobbs ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hobbs no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hobbs is looking for a triangle here but Baker uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hobbs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stevie Hobbs dominated that round. That's time! Hobbs's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hobbs lands with a good body shot. Baker drives through and clinches with Hobbs against the cage.
Hobbs jumps guard but Baker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hobbs tries to pull guard but Baker holds him up against the cage and eventually Hobbs drops back down to his feet.
Hobbs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Baker smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Hobbs. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baker closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hobbs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Baker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Baker stalling the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round. Baker pulls guard. Baker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Baker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hobbs lands a couple of digs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hobbs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Baker keeping moving, preventing Hobbs from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hobbs throwing strikes but missing. Baker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Baker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hobbs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hobbs is looking to stand up but Baker won't let him. Baker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hobbs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hobbs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hobbs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hobbs distracts Baker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hobbs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hobbs wants to stand but Baker is controlling his posture from full guard. Baker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hobbs is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Stevie Hobbs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hobbs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baker's waist but Baker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hobbs off to one side. Budda Baker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Baker swats away the attempt to clinch by Hobbs. Hobbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Baker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hobbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Baker has Hobbs up against the cage in a clinch.
Hobbs jumps guard but Baker stands there with Hobbs around his waist. Hobbs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Baker turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Baker manages to end up in side control. Baker trying to control the position but Hobbs is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Baker has knee on belly momentarily but Hobbs bucks him off and regains half guard. Hobbs is pressing down on Baker's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Budda Baker will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut there from Baker. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hobbs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Baker counters with a series of strikes. Hobbs will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Baker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hobbs swivels though and keeps the full guard. Baker has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hobbs to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Baker is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hobbs pulls down on the head and he's put Baker to sleep! This one is all over!
