Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Volya Nikolaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leif Olofson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolaev comes into the arena with Fever blaring out of the sound system. Olofson has chosen A-Team as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olofson takes a swing at Nikolaev's ribcage but misses.
Nikolaev on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Olofson connects with a leg kick. Nikolaev looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Olofson throws a head kick but Nikolaev moves out of range.
We've been informed that Olofson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Nikolaev shoots in and bounces Olofson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Olofson is sitting in close to Nikolaev's body. Nikolaev has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Olofson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Olofson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Nikolaev.

Volya Nikolaev opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
Leif Olofson spoke after the fight, saying 'At least I have a pair of blue socks'.
