Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dabbart Younger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clifton Hale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dabbart Younger! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Younger has managed to clinch.
Hale has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Younger uses from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hale trying to keep a closed guard but Younger is proving a slippery customer.
Hale keeping moving, preventing Younger from controlling successfully. Hale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Younger tries to free his leg and advance position but Hale is retaining full guard. Younger trying to control but Hale is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Younger sitting in guard here, content to control. Younger is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hale is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hale has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Younger throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hale stays in close to Younger's body and controls the position. Younger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hale content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hale avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Younger tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Younger is looking for a triangle but Hale pushes his legs off easily.
Younger is working an open guard so Hale takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Younger enables Hale to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Younger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hale drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hale jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hale has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hale seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hale chips away with some ground and pound. Hale is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Younger working for a triangle but Hale defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hale is posturing up here but Younger has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hale tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hale has to tap! Slick submission there by Younger!
