Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simhadri Mani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Teddy Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simhadri Mani! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mani moves into the clinch. Salazar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mani drags the fight down to the ground.
Mani utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Salazar throws a strike but Mani rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Salazar trying to control the position.
Salazar trying to control the position here. Mani slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mani decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Simhadri Mani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mani displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salazar. Mani throws a right and a left that both miss. As Mani looks to move away, Salazar throws a big counter combo but Mani just gets out of the way. Salazar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mani paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mani tries to counter with a clinch but Salazar shakes him off and moves away. Mani closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Salazar quickly recovers to half guard. Salazar scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Mani manages to mount him!
Salazar is looking to improve his position but Mani isn't that keen on the idea. Salazar slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Salazar is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mani in particular looking to stall. Mani seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Salazar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mani scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Teddy Salazar's cut is getting worse. This has been an exciting period of action! Mani seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Mani seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Salazar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
