Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Denis Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Card (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Card is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. Jason Card has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Holder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Card! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Card shoots in looking for a takedown but Holder manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Card's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. It looked like Holder was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Holder tries for a takedown but Card circles away easily and Card counters by moving into the clinch. Card prevents the takedown attempt.
Holder tries to pull guard but Card won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Holder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Card is trying to drag Holder to the mat but Holder just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Holder is trying to pull guard but Card has him pressed against the cage. Holder pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Card keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Holder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Card defends well and Holder ends up having to push Card into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holder shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holder was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holder throws a strike aimed at the side of Card's head but Card avoids it well. Card manages to get back to half guard. Card is holding on to half guard well. Card gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Card looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Card's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Card is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Card controlling the action here. Card is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Holder is just riding it out for now. Card eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder is trying to control but can't.
Card is taking a breather. Holder says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Card throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Holder pushes Card off and gets back to his feet. Holder fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Card swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Card slaps away a takedown attempt from Holder, before circling back to the center of the mat. Holder avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Holder clinches with his opponent.
Card is looking to break free of the clinch but Holder has double underhooks. Holder tries a body shot but Card blocks it.
Card is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Holder pulls him back up using the underhooks. Holder jumps guard but Card stands there with Holder around his waist. Holder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holder tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Card smiles and moves away.
Holder with a poor takedown and Card counters with a nice double leg into guard. Holder wants to get back to his feet but Card passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jason Card will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Holder tries to clinch up but Card circles away and keeps his distance. Holder shoots in and bounces Card off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Card preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Holder throwing strikes but missing. Card managing to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Card working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Card looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Holder is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Card seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Holder might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Card keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Holder closes the distance and clinches up with Card, looking for a takedown. Holder pushes Card against the cage but Card circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Holder shoots for a double leg takedown but Card sprawls well. He's pushed Holder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Holder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Holder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Card swats him away and circles back towards the center. Card closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Holder's guard. Card sitting in guard here, content to control. Card thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Card lands a couple of decent looking shots. Denis Holder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Card forces his way into half guard. Card keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Card in particular looking to stall. Card not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Card seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Card shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Holder napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jason Card showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Holder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Card stuffs the takedown attempt from Holder. Holder gets slowly back to his feet. Card tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Card closes the distance and clinches. Holder has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Card uses from the top position. Card stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holder swivels though and keeps the full guard. Holder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Card is aware though and is defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Card advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Holder's face as Card controls the position. Card is continuing to stall. Holder gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Card controlling from the full mount. A nice elbow there by Card. Card content just to control the position here. Card with shots to the head and body - Holder looks very uncomfortable down there. A nice elbow there by Card. That's three minutes gone in the round. Holder is bucking up trying to escape but Card cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Card looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Card is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Card lands a big shot there that rocks Holder but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Holder is rocked! Card cracks Holder with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
