Ronaldo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cão de Morte kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Vladimir Zakherenkoff has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ronaldo.
Zakherenkoff throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ronaldo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zakherenkoff is in Ronaldo's guard.
Ronaldo scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Zakherenkoff cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ronaldo working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Ronaldo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zakherenkoff sees it coming and defends easily.
