Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sylvester Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Dela Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dela Cruz quickly recovers to half guard.
Moon throws a strike but Dela Cruz avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Moon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dela Cruz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moon's guard.

Moon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dela Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dela Cruz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dela Cruz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dela Cruz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dela Cruz, into his guard.

Moon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dela Cruz sprawls well initially but Moon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Moon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I think Dela Cruz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
