The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jones forces Alves back against the cage and clinches.
Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Alvess head.

Alves has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Alves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.
