Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Beard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Rubble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barney Rubble has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rubble closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rubble is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Beard tries to pull guard but Rubble won't allow it.
Beard is trying to drag Rubble to the mat but Rubble just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Beard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beard is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rubble pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Beard leaves Rubble with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Rubble is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rubble tries to bum rush Beard with a series of wild strikes but Beard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rubble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beard tries to avoid it but Rubble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beard to the ground. Beard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rubble shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beard pinned against the cage. Beard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rubble tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Rubble closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beard did well to prevent Rubble getting side control.

Rubble is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Beard dives into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Beard just content to control the position.
Rubble is looking to reverse the position.

Rubble is pushing Beard's head away, looking to escape. Beard manages to hold on to the position though.

Beard looks up at the clock and then as Rubble takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Beard smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rubble takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Beard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Beard throws a head kick but Rubble moves out of range.
Rubble turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rubble tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Beard defends well and Rubble ends up having to push Beard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Beard was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Beard swats away the attempt to clinch by Rubble.
Rubble has a takedown stuffed.

Beard closes the distance and pushes Rubble back into the cage.

Beard drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rubble gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Arthur Beard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barney Rubble.

Rubble tries to keep at a distance but Beard has taken the fight into the clinch.

Beard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rubble tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rubble somewhat.
Rubble shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beard but Beard pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Arthur Beard.
