Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Tanner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tar San! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner tries to clinch up but San circles away and keeps his distance. San fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tanner to the ground. San is now in Tanner's guard. Tanner is looking to stand up but San isn't so interested in that idea. Tanner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. San stays in close to Tanner's body and controls the position. Tanner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. San doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. San manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. San must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tanner trying to strike off his back.
San decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. San scores with a takedown into Tanner's guard. Tanner pushes San off and scrambles back to his feet.
Tar San seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! San shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than San was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanner is trying to improve his position. San tries to move to mount but Tanner blocks the move with his legs. Check out the look on San's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tanner takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
San just content to control the position. San is putting a hurting on Tanner here, landing some big shots from side control. Tanner is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Tanner is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked San off and has taken his back! You can see the frustration on San's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That's three minutes gone in the round. San tries to escape but Tanner has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Tanner really is a fat lump. San avoids the strikes from Tanner. San trying to control the hands but Tanner won't let him. San covering up well under a series of strikes from Tanner. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. San is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. I really don't envy San right now.
Tanner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tanner throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting San!

San really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tanner gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. San is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tanner controlling well, preventing San from escaping the position.

San shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tanner is trying to defend but San finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Tanner wants to get back to full guard. San seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Tanner has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, San escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by San! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanner misses with a strike from the bottom. San decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tanner to his feet. San throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanner was covering up waiting for the punch and San finishes the takedown easily into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. San wants to control from the top but Tanner keeps moving. San is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tanner will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tanner is on top in guard.
San lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Tanner keeping full guard, as San tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. San is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tanner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but San can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tanner throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. San looking to pass the guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Tanner manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. San misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tanner.
That's three minutes gone in the round. San ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. San no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tanner's corner. There ya go! There ya go! San has his hands on Tanner's head, controlling the position. San is continuing to stall. Tanner wants to control from the top but San keeps moving. Tanner scores with a decent looking elbow strike. San escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tanner being controlled here momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. San is keeping the position for now. Tanner drops back looking for a leg! San is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and San manages to kick Tanner off! Tanner jumps back into San's guard. San keeping moving, preventing Tanner from controlling successfully. Tanner cracks San with a solid left hand. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tanner trying to control the position from guard on top but San is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. San pulls Tanner in close to prevent any damage. Tanner won't allow San to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Tar San comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think San has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
