Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jak Wesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jak Wesley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dom Reed!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wesley finds it's way round the side to connect with Reed's head.
Wesley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wesley scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Dom Reed has been cut.
Reed shoots in but Wesley avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Wesley manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wesley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wesley wants it to stay on the feet.
Wesley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reed circles away quickly and effectively.

Reed shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Wesley pushes Reed off and gets back to his feet.

Wesley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reed.
Wesley connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Wesley misses with a takedown attempt - Reed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wesley clinches up against the cage.
Wesley is trying to break the clinch but Reed has him pressed against the cage.
Wesley is trying to force a seperation but Reed has the dominant position.
A bit of stalling here from Wesley.

Wesley fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jak Wesley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reed drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reed jumps guard but Wesley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Reed manages to break the clinch.
Wesley misses with a kick to the body

and Reed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Reed is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wesley is staying active underneath Reed, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Reed working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wesley is trying to control but can't.
Reed with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Reed is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Reed takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Wesley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Reed moves into the clinch.
Wesley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Reed goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wesley prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Wesley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wesley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wesley tries to break the clinch but Reed is controlling the position.

Reed tries to pull guard but Wesley holds him up against the cage and eventually Reed drops back down to his feet.

Wesley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Reed backwards.
Reed drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wesley pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jak Wesley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dom Reed.

Wesley rushes Reed and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wesley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Reed effectively controlling the action here.

Wesley tries to break the clinch but Reed is controlling the position.

Reed blocks a body shot from Wesley.

Wesley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jak Wesley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wesley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Reed counters with a single leg into guard. Wesley didn't expect that.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Wesley manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Wesley is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Reed is defending well.
Wesley wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wesley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Reed is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Wesley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wesley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Reed up against the cage.
Reed has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wesley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Wesley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wesley prevents Reed from improving his position.
Wesley is just content to waste time from the top position. Reed takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wesley tries to free his leg and advance position but Reed is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed is trying to keep Wesley in close.

Reed had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wesley defends it easily.
Reed working a defensive guard but Wesley passes into half guard.

Wesley wants to take a breather but Reed is having none of it.

Reed is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wesley pulls his head out easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reed is staying active underneath Wesley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wesley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reed's head.
Wesley wants to stand up but Reed has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wesley misses with a head kick.
Reed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wesley appears to be looking for a big counter.

Reed blocks a head kick by Wesley.
Wesley moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromReed.
Reed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wesley defends it nicely.
Wesley drops down looking for a counter takedown but Reed sprawls and moves away.
Wesley throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Reed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Reed trying to control but Wesley is working from the bottom.
Reed is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Reed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dom Reed has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wesley keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.

Wesley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reed is aware though and is defending well.
Dom Reed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reed with a flurry of punches that miss.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Wesley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Reed ducks right into an uppercut from Wesley.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Wesley clinches up against the cage.
Jak Wesley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Reed throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wesley blocks it with crossed arms.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jak Wesley showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wesley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
