The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbons has a takedown stuffed.
James sizes up Gibbons with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Ash Gibbons has been cut.
James misses with a kick to the body.
Nice sprawl there from James as Gibbons shoots in.
James lands a two punch combo.
James drops Gibbons with a big left hand and mounts him. Gibbons is in big trouble!

James has control of Gibbons's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gibbons regains control of the situation pretty easily.
James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gibbons is looking to escape.

James seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Noel James just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gibbons.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
James stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibbons. Gibbons gets slowly back to his feet.

Gibbons slips a jab and a cross from James.
James connects with a right hand. Gibbons shakes it off.
Ash Gibbons's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
James throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gibbons.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gibbons throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.

James has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gibbons off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
James looks to land a combination. Gibbons sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Noel James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gibbons blocks a low kick nicely.
James throws a series of punches but Gibbons moves out of range.
Gibbons shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

James throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Gibbons is breathing heavily.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ash Gibbons's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
