Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyeis Michel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Wan Soo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wan Soo has chosen Rise of the Northstar - Welcame as his entrance music. Tyeis Michel looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Wan Soo! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wan Soo scores with a leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Michel. Jon Wan Soo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Michel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Michel moves away from the strike by Wan Soo. Michel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Michel tries for a takedown but Wan Soo circles away easily and Wan Soo counters by clinching up. Wan Soo pushes Michel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Wan Soo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wan Soo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wan Soo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Michel backwards. Wan Soo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Michel backwards. Wan Soo scores with a shot to the side of Michel's head. A right handed body shot lands from Wan Soo.

Wan Soo digs a right hand underneath Michel's ribcage. Michel let out a lung full of air as it connected. Michel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wan Soo to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyeis Michel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Michel avoiding damage as Wan Soo throws knees to the body.
Wan Soo's coach down at Archon Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wan Soo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A shot in the inside from Wan Soo. Wan Soo cracks Michel with a nice body shot. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wan Soo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wan Soo. Michel is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Wan Soo. Wan Soo is struggling to control the position. A right handed body shot lands from Wan Soo.

Wan Soo tries to work over Michel's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wan Soo pushes Michel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A left hand lands to the body for Wan Soo.

Wan Soo scores with an uppercut up the middle. Wan Soo lands with a short head shot on the inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Michel is trying to pull guard but Wan Soo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wan Soo is leaning against Michel and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. The referee calls for Wan Soo to work.
A nice right hand lands inside from Wan Soo. Wan Soo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Michel up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wan Soo lands a body shot. Wan Soo lands with a right to the head. Wan Soo scores with a hook to the body. Wan Soo lands on the inside with an uppercut. Wan Soo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right from Wan Soo. Michel blocks a body shot from Wan Soo. Wan Soo prevents the takedown attempt.
Wan Soo digs a right hand into Michel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Michel's gas tank. Stalling in the clinch from Wan Soo.
Wan Soo softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wan Soo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Michel's brow. Wan Soo throws an elbow but it's blocked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wan Soo throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Wan Soo is working Michel over against the cage. Wan Soo cracks Michel with a nice body shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A quick uppercut on the inside from Wan Soo. Wan Soo pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Wan Soo pushes Michel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Wan Soo is working Michel over against the cage. Wan Soo lands a nice shot to the body. Wan Soo lands with a short shot to the head. Wan Soo stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Michel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wan Soo's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Wan Soo lands a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Wan Soo dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Michel shoots in for a takedown but Wan Soo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wan Soo is looking for the big counter here. Michel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wan Soo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Michel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wan Soo sprawls well. Wan Soo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Michel gets slowly back to his feet. Wan Soo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Wan Soo just misses with a punch to the body.
Wan Soo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Michel checks it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Michel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wan Soo.
Wan Soo connects with a leg kick. Michel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Wan Soo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Michel's head.
It looks like Tyeis Michel has been cut. Wan Soo rushes Michel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wan Soo is working Michel over against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wan Soo lands with a left to the head. Wan Soo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wan Soo scores with a nice hook to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wan Soo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Wan Soo working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Still in the clinch, Wan Soo scores with a nice short uppercut.
Michel is rocked! A body shot lands from Wan Soo.
Oh Michel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wan Soo lands a body shot. Wan Soo is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Michel seems to have got his legs back now. Wan Soo scores a nice knee to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice right hand lands inside from Wan Soo. Wan Soo pushes Michel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Michel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wan Soo smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyeis Michel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Michel gets tackled into the cage by Wan Soo. Wan Soo maintains the clinch. Wan Soo avoiding damage as Michel throws knees to the body.

Wan Soo lands with a left to the head. Wan Soo creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Michel's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Michel drops to his knees and Wan Soo pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
