Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Steve! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook closes the distance looking to clinch and Steve counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A swing and a miss from Steve. Cook darts in trying to clinch and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cook looks to clinch and Steve counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Cook tries to clinch but Steve moves away and Steve counters with a left to the body. Cook walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Steve lands with a nice body punch. Steve misses with a straight left. Steve tests Cook's chin there with a solid looking shot. Steve cracks Cook with an open hand slap. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Steve throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steve lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cook backs up against the cage.
Cook tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cook is looking to clinch. Cook gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Steve. Steve moves into range and connects with a jab. Cook walks into a jab. Cook tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steve swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steve swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice uppercut lands for Steve. That snapped Cook's head back.
Cook tries to clinch but fails miserably and Steve connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Steve throws a one two combo.
Steve might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Cook is looking to clinch but Steve is avoiding it.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cook tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steve swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice jab there from Steve. Cook fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cook tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steve paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cook tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Steve counters with a left to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steve cracks Cook with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Nice shot lands for Steve. Cook bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cook seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Steve misses with a body shot.
Cook wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Steve swats away the attempt to clinch by Cook. Cook fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cook fails in his attempt to clinch. Cook wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Cook looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cook moves into the clinch. Cook tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cook drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cook escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steve gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steve drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steve jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Steve looks winded! Steve trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cook on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cook tries to get out of the position. Steve has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cook to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Steve is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cook pulls down on the head and he's put Steve to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Josh Cook!
