The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuchulain throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Cu Cuchulain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cuchulain tries to clinch up.
Sloppy strikes from Cuchulain. Those never looked like landing.
And Johnson tries to counter it with a takedown but Cuchulain pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cuchulain throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cuchulain has managed to free his arm - good work.
Cuchulain is looking to escape.

Johnson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
