Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lennox Zelaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zheka Beatovskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zelaya comes into the arena with Turn Down For What blaring out of the sound system. Beatovskiy has chosen NeiroMonk as his entrance music. Lennox Zelaya has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lennox Zelaya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zheka Beatovskiy! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zelaya falls off balance throwing a combination
and Beatovskiy counters with a big uppercut that knocks Zelaya off his feet! Beatovskiy dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Lennox Zelaya has been cut. Zelaya manages to work his way to half guard, despite Beatovskiy's best efforts. Beatovskiy looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Zelaya is rocked! Beatovskiy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Beatovskiy seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Beatovskiy wants to take a breather but Zelaya is having none of it. Zelaya looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zelaya wants to get back to full guard. Beatovskiy missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Zelaya trying to hold on to Beatovskiy's head to control him but Beatovskiy postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beatovskiy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Zelaya is refusing to be controlled, as Beatovskiy sits in half guard. Beatovskiy is nestled in close to Zelaya, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Beatovskiy is looking to take a break and control but Zelaya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Zelaya wants to control but Beatovskiy is keeping busy.

Zelaya is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Beatovskiy with the ground and pound but Zelaya uses the opportunity to regain guard. Zelaya will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Beatovskiy wants to control from the top but Zelaya keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Beatovskiy lands a couple of decent looking shots. Oh Zelaya is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Zelaya wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Zelaya seems to have got his legs back now. Zelaya has momentary wrist control but Beatovskiy slips an elbow through the middle. Zelaya has control of Beatovskiy's left arm, preventing Beatovskiy from doing any damage. Beatovskiy throws a big elbow that misses. Zelaya on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zelaya tries to get out of the position. Zelaya is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Beatovskiy with a flurry of punches that miss. Beatovskiy looking to pass the guard. Beatovskiy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beatovskiy is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Zelaya fails with the takedown and Beatovskiy scores with a counter punch that sends Zelaya to the canvas! Beatovskiy smells blood - he's punishing Zelaya with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Zelaya has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zheka Beatovskiy! A relieved looking Zheka Beatovskiy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
