Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Morin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eilert De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Morin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eilert De Vries! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Vries cracks Morin with a good jab. De Vries lands a nice hook to Morin's body. Morin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. De Vries lands with a slapping head kick. De Vries moves into range and clinches up with Morin. Morin can't get the takedown.
De Vries wants the takedown. Morin is fighting it off but De Vries persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Morin's guard against the cage. De Vries is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Morin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. That's one minute gone in the round. De Vries trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. De Vries wanted to stand there but Morin had control of the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. De Vries is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Morin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Morin tries to clinch up. Morin tries to clinch up. De Vries shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Morin napping and manages to drive through into side control! De Vries takes a little break here. Morin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that De Vries has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morin is working to avoid the ground and pound but De Vries connects with a decent elbow. De Vries controlling the position. Morin tries to escape but De Vries is in control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Morin seems a little lost for a moment, as De Vries dominates the positioning. De Vries has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Morin! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! De Vries controlling his opponent. De Vries looking to secure an arm triangle but Morin defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eilert De Vries dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Morin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but De Vries swivels and escapes. Morin drives through and clinches with De Vries against the cage.
De Vries has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Morin is trying to keep an underhook but De Vries manages to get the takedown into half guard. Morin is trying to escape back to his feet but De Vries uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morin bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Morin fails in his attempt to clinch. De Vries shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. De Vries's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. De Vries thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Vries's corner is telling him to maintain position. Morin has momentary wrist control but De Vries slips an elbow through the middle. De Vries controlling from the top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. De Vries shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Vries is trying for a kimura here. Morin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! De Vries wins by kimura!
