Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glass Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Black Stone Cherry - White Trash Millionaire . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 5, fighting out of New York, Charles McGuire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glass Joe! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe on the wrong end of a nice hook. McGuire takes a swing at Joe's ribcage but misses. Joe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. McGuire misses with a shot to the body and Joe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Joe is keen to just control but McGuire is a slippery customer. Joe working McGuire over with strikes. McGuire is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Joe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Joe's back! McGuire trying to control. McGuire is landing with strikes from the back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee is taking a good look at Joe as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from McGuire!
We've been hearing good reports from McGuire's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. McGuire lands a shot to the body. McGuire misses with punches from the back.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGuire biding his time, looking for the opening.
Joe can't escape the position.
McGuire somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Joe just trying to survive but McGuire is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Joe tries to escape the position.
Joe fending off the submission attempt from McGuire. McGuire punches the canvas rather than the man. McGuire has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe turns into McGuire and is now in his guard.
Joe controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Joe wants to control from the top but McGuire keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McGuire has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Joe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McGuire looking for a sweep. Not yet McGuire, not yet. McGuire keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully. Joe throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGuire wants to sweep here but Joe controlling him for the moment. Joe throws a strike but McGuire rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Joe keeping moving, preventing McGuire from controlling successfully. McGuire in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. McGuire cracks Joe with a solid left hand. McGuire controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Joe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Joe keeping moving, preventing McGuire from controlling successfully. McGuire controlling from the top position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A telegraphed right hand from McGuire misses the target. McGuire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joe manages to avoid it. McGuire's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McGuire duly obliges. McGuire swings away with a leg kick that misses. Joe is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Joe darts in looking for a takedown but McGuire gets double underhooks and turns Joe into the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles McGuire dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Joe tries to sprawl but McGuire drives through with a takedown into half guard. McGuire thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Joe's head. McGuire is just content to waste time from the top position. Joe takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Joe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Joe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Joe stalling away here and it's allowed McGuire to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGuire working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Joe has passed into half guard!
McGuire is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Joe can do to turn this around? Ground and pound from Joe. Charles McGuire overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

McGuire is refusing to be controlled, as Joe sits in half guard. Joe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McGuire's head. McGuire looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. McGuire keeping control of the position. Joe works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Joe has hold of McGuire's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McGuire seems comfortable defending it but Joe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McGuire is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McGuire is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Joe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Glass Joe! Glass Joe was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
