Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landry comes to the cage accompanied by Ride Wit Me - Nelly. Ed Landry has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Landry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Adams! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams avoids a punch combination nicely.
Adams swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Landry lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Adams. Adams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Adams tries to land a front kick but Landry steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Landry throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Landry cracks Adams with a good jab. Landry throws a right and a left that both miss. Landry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Adams misses with a takedown attempt - Landry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Landry seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Ed Landry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Adams. Adams dodges the punch combination from Landry.
Adams has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Landry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Landry throws a sloppy head kick and Adams moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry scores with a one two! Adams had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ed Landry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Adams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Landry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Landry wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Adams looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Landry is avoiding damage well.

Landry defending against the ground and pound. Adams is putting a hurting on Landry here, landing some big shots from side control. Landry tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Adams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Landry controls the position for a moment. An elbow from Adams crashes against the mat.
Landry wants to get back to his feet but Adams drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Landry is not content to let Adams control the position. Landry is looking for a sweep. Landry sneaks out the side door and pushes Adams away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Adams slips a jab and a cross from Landry.
Landry lands with a kick to the ribs.
Adams throws a right hand that Landry ducks under and follows up with a left that Landry also avoids with ease. Adams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Adams fails with a takedown attempt. Adams wants to clinch. Landry circles away from the clinch attempt.
Landry turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Landry keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Adams. Landry scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Landry moves away from the strike by Adams. Landry with a body punch. A glancing blow. Adams is looking to clinch but Landry is avoiding it.
Landry definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Adams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Landry to score with a decent uppercut. Landry throws a combination. Adams tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Adams shoots in looking for a takedown. Landry tries to sprawl out of it but Adams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Landry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Landry moves out of range as Adams strikes. Landry uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Adams. Adams shoots in but Landry avoids the takedown attempt easily. Adams doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Adams misses with an uppercut. Landry saw that one coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry rushes Adams and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Adams is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Landry piles on the pressure and Adams crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Landry! In his post fight interview, Ed Landry started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
