The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Away throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Wagdy counters with a shoot takedown. Away fights it but they end up in guard.
Away is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wagdy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Away swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wagdy pushes down on Away's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wagdy passes the guard and advances to mount!

Wagdy goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Away is on top in guard.
