Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anton Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anton Ellison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anthony Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellison has his takedown stuffed
and Davidson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Davidson misses with a head kick.

Davidson clinches up with Ellison and pushes him back against the cage.
Ellison tries to pull guard but Davidson won't allow it.

Davidson gets control of Ellison's arms and successfully pulls guard. Davidson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ellison missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Davidson working for a triangle but Ellison defends it easily.
Davidson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ellison is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davidson is still trying to improve position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ellison wants to get up but he can't break Davidson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Davidson has Ellison pulled in close to control his posture.
Davidson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ellison's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davidson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davidson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Ellison manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Ellison unloads a knee to the mid-section. Davidson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Ellison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Davidson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ellison regains guard immediately.
Davidson is standing up over Ellison. Ellison looks to escape but Davidson dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Davidson advances to mount.
Ellison tries to hold on but Davidson postures up.
Davidson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ellison to take his back!
Davidson has good solid back control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Davidson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ellison is trying to stand back up.

Davidson is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Davidson controlling well, preventing Ellison from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Davidson lands a shot to the body.
Davidson trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Ellison doesn't escape.
Ellison is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
I would not like to be Ellison right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davidson throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Davidson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ellison's body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee is taking a good look at Ellison as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Davidson!

Davidson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ellison defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Davidson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Davidson lands a nice shot that snaps Ellison's head back.


Ellison is rocked!
Ellison moves out of range of the leg kick from Davidson.

Davidson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Oh Ellison is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davidson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Davidson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ellison, up you get!
Ellison seems to have got his legs back now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davidson tries a head kick but it misses.
Ellison doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davidson counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Ellison! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Davidson!
